Agia Vlacherna River Beach

Tucked away at the entrance of a narrow canyon, Agia Vlacherna River Beach is a secluded natural retreat where the Trikeriotis River flows toward Lake Kremasta. Its white pebbles and soft sand are framed by towering plane trees and dramatic vertical rock formations, creating a striking blue-green landscape that feels almost untouched.
The river’s cool, crystal-clear waters are inviting for swimming and reflect the lush greenery surrounding the canyon, offering a deep sense of peace and tranquility. From here, kayaking routes can lead toward the lake, coordinated in advance with the lake’s boat marina.
Reaching the beach is part of the experience: a scenic dirt road southwest of Karpenisi winds through the high peaks of Kaki Plati, Templa, and Ablanova before descending to the river below. Quiet, refreshing, and immersive, Agia Vlacherna is one of Evrytania’s most memorable summer escapes—and one that leaves a lasting desire to return.
